Most Brutal And Horrific Form Of Execution In The Acient History. - Education

Consider yourself lucky if you are reading this, you most likely not to have lived in a society with extreme judgements, sentences, and punishments. Back in the good old days if you did something wrong, for example stole a goat, chicken, Adultery, you were pretty much assured being handed a death sentence. In those days there was no hanging around on Death Row, contemplating the errors of your ways whilst waiting for some form of humane, painless death. Executions in the ancient history seems to be so barbaric and devices used were built with careful engineering to push the guilty to feel extreme and prolonged pain before death. The forms of execution listed below really are so barbaric that you might question your faith in human nature. Blowing from the gun. With the invention of the cannon came this wonderfully imaginative way of executing enemy combatants. The basic method was to tie the unfortunate victim to the barrel of a cannon and fire it. A magnificent Soviet soldier, dressed in skirts on the battlefield, died after being captured and subjected to humiliation

A magnificent Soviet soldier, dressed in skirts on the battlefield, died after being captured and subjected to humiliation In the early days of World War II, Germany's policy towards the Soviet Union was to attack the Soviet Union at a distance, and because the Soviet authorities believed that due to the strength of the Soviet armament, Germany would never take the initiative to attack the Soviet Union. Therefore, at the beginning of the war, the Soviet Union did not actively help other countries resist German aggression. The actual result was that the German Lightning Forces quickly moved into the Soviet Union. Of course, the old men were caught off guard, and the battle was retreating steadily, and the army suffered heavy casualties. The most indispensable thing for a fighting nation is people who can fight. When a man is dead, a woman can also go to the battlefield. Those women who were only waiting for the return of their husbands and sons took up their weapons unwillingly. Sin

Surgical repair of injury to the vulva by suturing.

Surgical repair of injury to the vulva by suturing. In obstetrics there is a common but particularly controversial procedure called an episiotomy. surgical repair of injury to the vulva by suturing. Episotomy is the surgical lengthening of the vaginal orifice through an incision in the perineum, made during labor with the aid of a scalpel or scissors and which requires suturing. The practice is indicated when there are difficulties with the delivery of the baby, in natural childbirth, and the first report of application of the practice dates from 1741. Episiorrhaphy is the name given to the suture made after cutting. The whole process is controversial, and many scholars in the area have been raised by the application of episiotomy only when strictly necessary. The indiscriminate use of the technique, as a way to forcefully accelerate labor, only results in unnecessary suffering for the woman. An episotomy takes about 6 weeks to heal, during which sexual intercourse is impossible. Altho

How often did the Romans have sex?

Romans were pretty open about sex. Their society wasn't as prudish as later Western societies became. They had a relaxed attitude toward sex, seeing it as a natural part of life. For instance, it was common for Roman homes to have erotic art, and even the city of Pompeii, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, reveals walls adorned with some pretty explicit murals. But how often? Well, it varied. Elite Romans, who had more leisure time, probably engaged in sexual activities more frequently. They often had banquets and gatherings that sometimes turned into wild parties known as convivia. These weren't just your average get-togethers; they could involve a lot of drinking, feasting, and yes, sometimes sexual escapades. Interestingly, there's a lesser-known story about a Roman named Gaius Petronius, who was a member of Emperor Nero's court. Petronius wrote the Satyricon, a satirical novel that gives us a peek into the indulgent lifestyles of the Roman elite. One

There Was a Job in Ancient Egypt Called the Guardian of the King's Anus

No, this is not a joke. While it might sound like the punchline to a particularly odd joke, the role of "Shepherd of the King’s Rectum" was a serious and highly respected position in ancient Egypt. During the Sixth Dynasty (2345–2181 BC), the physician Iry (or Ir-en-akhty) was bestowed this exalted title. The pharaoh was considered a god, and caring for his health was an immense honor. One of the crucial aspects of this care involved the administration of enemas. Yes, you read that right. The pharaoh would undergo a colonic lavage using a golden cannula inserted into the rectum. The mixture for these enemas could include water, milk, beer, or wine, often sweetened with honey and infused with medicinal herbs. The purpose was to prevent the buildup of toxins in the body. This procedure was carried out three times a month. Interestingly, the Egyptians believed they had observed the Nile ibis performing a similar action, inspiring the development of this medical practice. So, t

"Mary the Elephant's Heart-Wrenching Execution: A Homeless Man, A Circus Tragedy, and a Town's Fury in 1916"

On September 11, 1916, a homeless man named Red Eldridge was hired as an assistant elephant trainer by the Sparks World Famous Shows circus. His only job role was knowing how to use an elephant stick (literally a sharp spear). The day after he was hired, the circus announced a show in the town of Kingsport , Tennessee , featuring an elephant parade.Tragedy occurred when Mary the Elephant went on a rampage: while she was nibbling on a watermelon rind, Eldridge tried to keep her in line by prodding her behind the ear with a hook. Onlookers - stunned and helpless - watched as she grabbed Eldridge with her trunk, threw him against a drinks stand and stomped on his head, crushing it.Within minutes, the local blacksmith who thought she had gone mad shot her 5 bullets, but to no effect. Some spectators then began to chant: " Kill the elephant! Let's kill him ." Meanwhile, the mayors of several nearby towns threatened not to allow the circus to visit if Mary attended the show. So

One Of The Weirdest Practices In Ancient Roman

One Of The Weirdest Practices In Ancient Roman In our society, mischievous artists like giggling schoolboys leave crude drawings of a phallus on walls to shock and titillate. They are usually scrubbed off or painted over as such images are deemed taboo and offensive. In ancient Rome, the image of the phallus was depicted on door knockers, lamps, wind chimes, charms as well as drawn and sculpted on walls and depicted in mosaics and other decorative surfaces. The sexual energy of these images was believed to protect people by invoking the power of the god Fascinus. The Vestal Virgins tended the cult of the fascinus populi Romani, who represented a masculine generative power located within the hearth, regarded as sacred. Saint Augustine notes that a phallic image was carried in procession annually at the festival of Father Liber, the Roman god identified with Bacchus or the Greek Dionysys, for the purpose of protecting the fields from fascinatio, magic compulsion: certain rites of Liber w

"Sims acquired a total of eleven women slaves with vesicovaginal fistula from their masters by promising to lodge, board, and treat them, and he built a spartan wooden building, where he conducted surgical experiments on them for the next four years. During the Victorian period, layers of dress signaled sexual chastity, and doctors were not in the habit of viewing women's unclothed bodies; not even their professional stature gave them license to gaze at women's genitalia. When Sims undertook his fistula experiments, even the term 'gynecology' was a few years in the future. Instead, 'women's doctors' averted their eyes in a chivalrous fashion as they knelt to tend to the modestly clothed ladies of their class, relying upon their sense of touch beneath voluminous Victorian skirts. However, Sims, working with enslaved blacks, was constrained by no such delicacy. He made the women undress completely, then kneel on hands and knees while he and several physi

Wooden Horse or Spanish Donkey

"Wooden Horse or Spanish Donkey" The wooden horse, or Spanish donkey, was an extremely painful and gruesome medieval torture device. It was first used by the Holy Inquisition in France and then in Spain and Germany, and then migrated to the Americas, gaining prominence during the colonial period. The main design was the same wherever it was used. It was a triangular wooden box with a very sharp top end (ie where the horse's spine would be). The apparatus was constructed of wood, with planks nailed together to form a long, tapered ridge, which would serve as the horse's back. These were supported by four legs attached to a bracket, about 6 or 7 feet (1.8 to 2.1 metres) high, with wheels fitted to the bottom of the legs so that the entire device could roll across the ground. A head and tail would be attached to make the torture device look like an almost “fun” huge wooden horse. The defendant would be mounted on the horse, with ankle weights and hands tied behin

Al-Qaeda video shows public execution of woman accused of adultery.

The militant groups continue to disagree, despite joining in praise of Paris shootings A video has emerged online that appears to show the execution of a woman accused by al-Qaeda of committing adultery. The footage was obtained by the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which claimed it showed such ritualistic and barbaric executions were not limited to the Isis militant group. Rami Abdulrahman, the monitoring group’s director, said the video had been filmed on a mobile phone by a member of the al-Qaeda affiliate Nusra Front. It shows the woman initially protesting a large group of heavily-armed men standing in a square identified by the Observatory as being in the city of Idlib, up to 80 per cent of which lies under Nusra Front control. The men can be seen ordering the woman, whose arms appear to be bound behind her back, to kneel. A man wearing a full-length black tunic then issues a speech reportedly declaring the woman has been convicted by an Islamic court of adultery,

Marriage with a COR-PSE..ROTTING ALIVE..FIVE ANCIENT and MON-STROUS PLEA-SURES

Marriage with a COR-PSE..ROTTING ALIVE..FIVE ANCIENT and MON-STROUS PLEA-SURES In some societies, it’s possible—with a few caveats. Posthumous marriage—that is, nuptials in which one or both members of the couple are dead—is an established practice in China, Japan, Sudan, France, and even the United States, among members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The procedural and legal nuances of each approach vary wildly between cultures, but here is an overview of how to tie the knot with someone who isn’t quite alive. Although Chinese dating and marriage practices are slowly changing under the influence of technology and online dating, traditional, family-oriented values still rule. Matchmaking, via meddling parents and/or a marriage broker, is big business. To be female and unmarried at 30 is to be a “leftover woman.” The 1978 implementation of the one-child policy has complicated the marriage market somewhat due to the societal preference for baby boys. A 2011 study fo

Louis Le Prince was a French artist and the inventor of the motion-picture camera. However, in September 1890, he mysteriously vanished while on his way to New York to unveil his invention at his own exhibition. The day before the exhibition, Le Prince's brother, Albert, dropped him off at the train station. Le Prince was carrying everything he needed to present the exhibit, including his suitcase with his valuable patents. What's strange about this is that no one on the train remembers seeing Le Prince. When he failed to show up at his own exhibit, the police became involved and began their investigation by questioning other passengers on the train. Not one of them could say they had seen him. The fact that there were other inventors who had hoped to be the first to show the moving picture to the world fueled speculation that one of his fellow inventors was responsible for his disappearance. This theory was further fanned by Le Prince's wife, Elizabeth, who publicly stated

This is what they did with ITALIAN WOMEN in World War 2!

Saturday, Sept. 11, 1943, was, in the words of the Piedmontese diarist Carlo Chevallard, a “day of humiliation and shame.” Chevallard, of French-Swiss descent, was the director of a metal factory and a cool observer of daily events. The streets of Turin were eerily quiet, except for the sounds of sporadic gunfire. There were no newspapers and the radio was silent.  The few people who ventured onto the streets wandered about like “lost souls” trying to find out what was happening. Calls for volunteers to resist the German occupation went unheeded. Italy was now cut in two, the south in the hands of the Allies, the centre and the north occupied by the Germans, and communication between the two virtually ceased. For Ada and the anti-Fascists across Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna in the north, it was a question of how to react, what to do next, how to tell friends from enemies and how best to navigate the coming months. Rommel had been brought back from Salonika to command Armed Gro

This will make you feel sad This iconic photograph marks the end of the career of matador Álvaro Munero. In the midst of the battle, he suddenly repented and sat down at the edge of the field. Subsequently, in an interview, Alvaro will tell: “Suddenly I saw not horns, but the eyes of a bull. He stood in front of me and started looking at me. Just stood and watched, making no attempt to attack. The innocence that is in the eyes of all animals looks towards me with a plea for help. It was like a cry for justice and met his horrible Somewhere deep inside me, I suddenly realized that he was addressing me in the same way we address God in prayer: “I don't want to fight you, please leave me, Because I have done nothing wrong to you. After that I became a vegetarian and stops fighting bullfights. " This stor

ISIS executes man with bazooka.

Horrific video has emerged online showing ISIS savages purportedly executing a young man with a bazooka. The footage was posted Thursday by a Syrian activist group, Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently. The clip, which is about 2½ minutes long, shows the prisoner exploding in a ball of flames as his Islamic State executioners blast their guns in the air and cheer in celebration. The man is said to be Ibrahim Shraideh, a member of the Al Shaitat tribe from the town of Abu Hamam in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor province.  He was captured and killed on charges of waging war against ISIS, according to the activist group. The bloodthirsty jihadis who put Shraideh to death are said to be from Tunisia and Morocco. The execution video is believed to have been shot Wednesday, the group said. When the clip begins, things appear calm as one of the ISIS militants chit-chats with Shraideh. Suddenly, the long-haired radical leans down, picks up a rocket-propelled grenade and begins angrily ranting. Moments lat

Islamic State claims mass execution of 250 Syrian soldiers

Islamic State claims mass execution of 250 Syrian soldiers The Islamic State claimed Thursday that 250 Syrian soldiers from Tabqa air base in Syrian's northeastern Raqqa Province were executed on Wednesday. DAMASCUS, Syria, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Islamic State militants claimed Thursday to have executed 250 Syrian soldiers at an airbase in Syria's northeastern Raqqa Province. The terrorist group seized control of Tabqa air base on Sunday from forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad. At least 250 Syrian soldiers were reportedly executed on Wednesday, IS claimed on one of its official websites. Video footage purportedly of the soldiers shows large groups of men forced to jog in their underwear and later images of numerous corpses in similar undress lying side by side in a desert area. According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 200 Syrian soldiers and 346 IS fighters were killed in Sunday's battle for control of the air base. Thanks for reading

Marched to their deaths.

Marched to their deaths: Sickening ISIS slaughter continues as 250 soldiers captured at Syrian airbase are stripped then led to the desert for mass execution  Sickening footage appears to show Islamic State militants parading around 250 captured soldiers through the desert in their underwear before they are killed and their bodies piled on the bare earth. An Islamic State fighter claimed the men were from the Syrian government's Tabqa air base which extremists seized on Sunday, potentially handing them warplanes, tanks, artillery and ammunition. The video, which has not been independently verified, is too graphic to be published in full. It begins by showing dozens of men being marched through the desert wearing only their underwear. It then fades to black, resuming with a pile of bloodied bodies stacked on top of one another. As the horrific footage progresses it pans slowly across a vast line of men who appear to be dead, and whose bodies have been laid out one by one. The line f

A horrific photograph of an execution in eastern Europe during the second world war

A horrific photograph of an execution in eastern Europe during the second world war can be seen in Holocaust archives and museums around the world.  But who are the killers, who are the victims, who took it - and why? Janina Struk felt compelled to investigate Two naked men stand on the edge of a pit, an older man several feet behind them, while a man and a boy, also naked, walk into the frame. Surrounding them are seven perpetrators, some armed, some in uniform, some not.  A uniformed man on the far right-hand side of the picture is standing on a mound of earth, presumably dug from the pit, seemingly directing proceedings. The caption reads: "Sniatyn - tormenting Jews before their execution. 11.V.1943." I first saw a copy of this image as I was filing through photographs in the Polish Underground Movement (1939-1945) Study Trust in west London.  At the time I did not understand what I was looking at. I had never encountered a scene quite like it before. The pitiful sight of
