Back in the good old days if you did something wrong, for example stole a goat, chicken, Adultery, you were pretty much assured being handed a death sentence. In those days there was no hanging around on Death Row, contemplating the errors of your ways whilst waiting for some form of humane, painless death. WARNING DISTRESSING FOOTAGE: The violent group accused her of having a part to play in the murder of 19-year-old Vimlesh Shah, whose body was found near a railway track


A woman was beaten, stripped naked and paraded through the streets in the latest incident of mob violence in India.


The woman's house, in Bihar state, was burned to the ground shortly before the brutal assault.


The mob accused her of having a part to play in the murder of 19-year-old Vimlesh Shah, whose body was found near a railway track in the Bhojpur district on Monday.


Officers were alerted to the situation when they saw videos of incident circulating on WhatsApp.


Police arrested 15 men for the assault and the woman is undergoing treatment in hospital.


A video of the incident shows the woman being paraded naked on the street surrounded by dozens of men.


The mob also set fire to several shops, houses and vehicles in her neighbourhood.

 A horrific photograph of an execution in eastern Europe during the second world war can be seen in Holocaust archives and museums around the world.  But who are the killers, who are the victims, who took it - and why?
