Most Brutal And Horrific Form Of Execution In The Acient History. - Education

Consider yourself lucky if you are reading this, you most likely not to have lived in a society with extreme judgements, sentences, and punishments. Back in the good old days if you did something wrong, for example stole a goat, chicken, Adultery, you were pretty much assured being handed a death sentence. In those days there was no hanging around on Death Row, contemplating the errors of your ways whilst waiting for some form of humane, painless death. Executions in the ancient history seems to be so barbaric and devices used were built with careful engineering to push the guilty to feel extreme and prolonged pain before death. The forms of execution listed below really are so barbaric that you might question your faith in human nature. Blowing from the gun. With the invention of the cannon came this wonderfully imaginative way of executing enemy combatants. The basic method was to tie the unfortunate victim to the barrel of a cannon and fire it. Horrific as this sounds I imagine it w...

True story of teen girl praised as a 'one woman army' for killing over 100 Nazis with clever technique

Zinaida Portnova, known for having taken the lives of more than 100 Nazis by poisoning their food at just 16 years of age. She was captured by the Gestapo and while being interrogated, she disarmed the Nazi detective and shot him in the head. In her attempt to escape, she executed 2 more Nazis.

The teenager managed to execute three Nazis, even after she had been captured

Zinaida Portnova's story is one of particular significance, with some nowadays labelling her as a 'one woman army'.

Born in Leningrad, Russia, in February 1926 - Portnova had quite the life, even though it was cut pretty short.

She was a seventh-grade student at the 385th school in the Russian city in 1941, when she left for her grandmother's house in the Vitebsk region. Nazi Germany invaded the shortly after that, and an incident with Nazi troops led to Portnova despising them.

German soldiers hit her grandmother while they were confiscating the cattle, leading to the girl (quite understandably) having strong negative feelings towards them.

Portnova joined the Belarusian resistance movement in 1942, and began by distributing Soviet propaganda leaflets in German-occupied Belarus.

She also collected and hid weapons for Soviet soldiers and reported on German troop movements.

The war efforts did not stop there though, as Portnova began learning how to use a gun.

She participated in rather risky sabotage actions at a pump, local power plant, and brick factory. These actions ended up killing up to an estimated 100 German soldiers during World War II.

Portnova's acts of revenge would also involve poisoning German soldiers' food after she became employed as a kitchen aide in Obo.

She poisoned the food meant for the Nazi garrison stationed there, but sadly this made her become an immediate suspect.

To prove she was innocent, Portnova ate some of the poisoned food in front of the Nazis.

After she did not fall ill immediately, they released her

But the teen did eventually fall ill though, vomiting heavily as a result of consuming the food.

After she did not return to work, the Germans realized she had been the culprit and they eventually found her. She was quickly captured but that was certainly not the end of the story.

While she was being interrogated, Portnova disarmed the Nazi detective and shot him in the head.

And in her attempt to escape, the teen girl executed two more Nazis.

Portnova attempted to escape the compound and ran into the woods, but she was caught near the banks of a river.

She was executed in 1944.

Portnova's story has been creating a lot of discussion on X recently, with one person penning: "She was indeed a one woman army," while a second added: "That's an incredible woman."

The story behind iconic Female Viet Cong Guerrilla photograph, 1972

The story behind iconic Female Viet Cong Guerrilla photograph, 1972 A Viet Cong guerrilla stands guard in the Mekong Delta. Her name is Lam Thi Dep (Dep means beautiful in Vietnamese), the picture was taken in 1972 at Soc Trang Province by Vietnamese journalist Minh Truong. “You could find women like her almost everywhere during the war”, said the photographer. “She was only 24 years old but had been widowed twice. Both her husbands were soldiers”. She’s wielding an M-16, the standard-issue American soldier’s rifle.  Usually, these types of photos were taken for propaganda purposes. North Vietnamese women were deeply involved at all levels of the military campaign throughout the war, especially at the business end, fighting against the American-led forces in the jungle. North Vietnamese women were enlisted and fought in the combat zone as well as provided manual labor to keep the Ho Chi Minh trail open, cook for the troops, and some served as “comfort women” for male communis...

My Husband Ridiculed My Postpartum Figure at a Work Event – His Boss Confronted Him the Following Day

My name is Claire, and I would like to share a poignant chapter from my life, which began with deep personal humiliation but evolved into an unexpected journey of empowerment and new opportunities. This transformation unfolded during and after a corporate event at my husband Tim’s boss’s luxurious residence—an evening that was meant to be filled with merriment but instead became a pivotal turning point in my life due to a thoughtless comment made by my husband. As we arrived at the opulent venue, the grandeur of the setting and the elegant attire of the guests heightened my anxiety. Despite wearing my best dress, I felt painfully self-conscious about my postpartum body, having given birth just three months prior. Tim seemed particularly eager to introduce me to his colleagues and their spouses, perhaps hoping to impress his boss. The atmosphere inside was vibrant, with guests engaging in lively conversations while enjoying fine wine and gourmet delicacies. As I attempted to mingle...

Pata Seca; Meet Slave Whose Only Duty Was To Have Sex With Women To Procreate

Slaves were known to be priced possessions of their owners who mainly were used for hard labour especially on farms and other labourous areas of enterprise. It's a known fact that slavery contributed significantly to the development of the Western nations and some of the upcoming developed countries like Brazil and the likes. While I will not waste time to take you on History class or lessons, stumbled on a name and story that looked like fiction yet a true life and historical figure in Brazil. Pata Seca was a black slave in Brazil in the late 1880s, while there are varying versions of his story and biography one thing remained constant. That Pata Seca was a slave who didn't work on any farm, factory or engaged in any hard labour through out his life but was groomed, pampered and given preferential treatment is an irony only explained by the reason for which it happened. The whole arrangement was a sinister one aimed as using Pata Seca as a breeder of slaves, just as dogs and o...
