Consider yourself lucky if you are reading this, you most likely not to have lived in a society with extreme judgements, sentences, and punishments. Back in the good old days if you did something wrong, for example stole a goat, chicken, Adultery, you were pretty much assured being handed a death sentence. In those days there was no hanging around on Death Row, contemplating the errors of your ways whilst waiting for some form of humane, painless death. Executions in the ancient history seems to be so barbaric and devices used were built with careful engineering to push the guilty to feel extreme and prolonged pain before death. An Intimate Look Inside a 1950s Tokyo Bath House





Caution, this post will make you feel like a bit of a Peeping Tom. We’re about to take a rather voyeuristic tour of a Japanese bath house in the year 1951, with LIFE photographer Michael Rougier. It was the year Japan’s post-war occupation by the allied countries would come to an end but the bath house has clearly grown accustomed to its Western clientele of enthusiastic American officers.



Rougier captures some telling moments between the bath house ladies and their male clients; at times maternal and respectful and others more flirtatious and audacious. Let’s take our appointment and watch these two cultures curiously collide in the unlikeliest of settings..

Man caught on CCTV drowning three-year-old stepdaughter in pool jailed for 100 years

  WARNING: This footage is confronting and distressing. A man has been jailed for 100 years after being caught on camera repeatedly tossing his helpless three-year-old stepdaughter into a swimming pool before leaving her to drown. The horrific and confronting CCTV shows the moment the callous killer throws the defenseless child into the water. The incident reportedly occurred at a hotel in the city of Morelia in Mexico in August last year. "Wooden Horse or Spanish Donkey" The wooden horse, or Spanish donkey, was an extremely painful and gruesome medieval torture device. It was first used by the Holy Inquisition in France and then in Spain and Germany, and then migrated to the Americas, gaining prominence during the colonial period. The main design was the same wherever it was used. It was a triangular wooden box with a very sharp top end (ie where the horse's spine would be). The apparatus was constructed of wood, with planks nailed together to form a long, tapered ridge, which would serve as the horse's back. These were supported by four legs attached to a bracket, about 6 or 7 feet (1.8 to 2.1 metres) high, with wheels fitted to the bottom of the legs so that the entire device could roll across the ground. A FIVE YEAR OLD KITWE GIRL COMMITS SUICIDE A five year old girl has been found dead hanging onto a tree in her neighbours yard in Kitwe. Circumstances around her death remain unclear. BELOW IS THE FULL STATEMENT FROM POLICE. Suspected Suicide ,occurred on 26/08/22 around 14.00hrs at Hse No. H468. In which F/ Elizabeth Mwape aged 27 of Hse No. H461, Chamboli T/ship, Kitwe, V/ Kapaya, C/ Tungati D/ Luwingu reported that her daughter F/J/ Miriam Mugala aged 5 of the same address was found dead hanging onto a tree within her neighbour's yard. Brief facts are that the reporter had left home around 11.00hrs to the market leaving her two children ( deceased and her older brother aged 8 playing within the neighborhood with other children. Marched to their deaths: Sickening ISIS slaughter continues as 250 soldiers captured at Syrian airbase are stripped then led to the desert for mass execution  Sickening footage appears to show Islamic State militants parading around 250 captured soldiers through the desert in their underwear before they are killed and their bodies piled on the bare earth.
